SCOPE OF THE WORK
Thermoplastic coating installation for the corrosion protection of metal bolts found throughout the Capilano Energy Recovery Facility.
The Capilano Break Head Tank and Energy Recovery Facility (BHT & ERF) plays a crucial role in the Seymour-Capilano Water Filtration System, providing essential treated drinking water to Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Burnaby. This unique facility showcases engineering excellence by incorporating energy recovery mechanisms while managing the water pressure within a drinkable water supply framework. Positioned at the end of a 7-km conduit, a substantial energy recovery turbine harnesses the high-pressure flow of treated water. This innovative approach captures energy that would typically dissipate, projecting an impressive annual energy savings of 9,600 MWh for Metro Vancouver.
