SCOPE OF THE WORK
Ocean Falls is a remote community on the Central Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is home to a few dozen residents and receives in excess of 4500mm of rain annually.
Jewel was hired in 2019 to install access to the inside of this penstock and facilitate an internal inspection. In 2020, we started working with the customer and engineer to plan a complete replacement of this asset.
This project is a multi-year replacement program to upgrade the aging steel penstock at Boralex’s Ocean Fall Hydroelectric project.
